Please fill out the entry and consent forms below and review the rules to take part in the contest.

Quilt categories

  • One Person Quilt: Any sized quilt (maximum size 104”) pieced and quilted by one person.
  • Two Person Quilt: Any sized quilt (maximum size 104”) pieced by one person and quilted by another.
  • Mixed Media Quilt One Person: Any method applique or mixed technique made and quilted by one person.
  • Mixed Media Quilt Two Person: Any method applique or mixed technique made by one person and quilted by another.
  • One Person Miniature Quilt: Cannot exceed 24” on any side. Must be pieced and quilted by one individual.
  • Two Person Miniature Quilt: Cannot exceed 24” on any side. Must be pieced by one persond and quilted by another.
  • Quilted Clothing or Home Accessory: Examples: Jackets, bags, table runners. Must be made and quilted by one individual.
  • Modern Quilt: Quilt must feature a design aesthetic of modern quilting. Examples: High contrasting colors, minimalism, large negative spaces, improvised piecing. May be completed by one or two individuals.
  • Junior Quilt: Must be made and quilted by one individual 12 years of age or younger. This quilt may be any size (104” maximum). This quilt may be tied.

Carol Arndt: I have been a lifelong garments sewer recently flipping to quilts and now sewing Quilts of Valor for veterans. I am a member of the American Sewing Guild and have taught entry-level sewing for children and adults and been a 4-H leader and judge.

Diane Bishop: I have owned Ladies of Liberty Mercantile in Independence Oregon for the last nine years. I have sewn since I was very young and been a quilter for many years now. I have judged many different textile classes at several county fairs and at Oregon State Fair.
